Shortly after the dedication of Sperr Memorial Park in 2006, it was apparent that a committee should be established to guide the development of that area. The committee would be made up of representatives of the following areas:

The Sperr Family

New York State Troopers

Local Communities

Area Financial Institutions

Town of Big Flats

Chemung County

The primary mission of the committee is to insure that Sperr Memorial Park continues to serve as a tribute to A.J. Sperr, and reflect his passion for family and nature. All donations are secured through the New York State Trooper Foundation and are used to meet those goals. The committee holds two formal meetings each year, in addition to frequent communication throughout the year.
