Time To Sperr
9th Annual Run

The 9th annual Time To Sperr event will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017. Last year we had close to 500 registrants and an estimated 1,000 people at the park!
Time to Sperr is organized by Race Director Susan Stage-Derick. All races start near the monument site and end on the rails to trails path. Runners in the 10k race will cross under I-86, and their course will take them down Daniel Zenker Dr. and through residential neighborhoods. Runners in the 3K event will travel along the town walking trail. We also have a FAST 5K course! See PDF files below of the course maps below. 800 meter "fun run" around the pond for children 10 & under before the awards ceremony.
All distance races will have a shotgun start at 9:00 am. With the number of participants and spectators increasing each year we strongly encourage car pooling the day of the run. Pre-registered participants will be able to pick up your race goody bags on Friday, August 25th 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Sperr Memorial Park (at the pavilion on Kahler Road), and again on Saturday morning. New registration will also be taking place at that time. Registration will again be open on race day (Saturday, August 26th) at 7:00am and closing 8:15am sharp, located past the monument on Lowe Road at the green garage (NOT at the pavilion).
All proceeds from the race will go toward maintenance and improvements at the park. Improvements completed and to be completed to the park thanks to last years fund raising event:
* Expanding playground area and adding additional equipment in Spring/Summer 2017
* Addition to garage storage area
* Mulch for all Adopt-A-Spot flower beds
* Hiring Scenic Services to assist in park maintenance near the monument area
